Hallelujah, Nevertheless

Hope is the song that
Agony cannot destroy, and
Love is the place we are invincible. We
Live in a world of what-ifs and if-onlys, and
Even the air we breathe
Lies heavy in our souls, buried
Underneath all we have seen, done, and been. So let us plant seeds of
Joy there, and let them take root, deep down into our hearts,
And let them bloom wide with flowers,
Heavy like cherry blossom trees.

Navy is the darkness of the night, but
Every morning brings periwinkle growing through the
Valley of Shadows. Though tears flood your
Eyes, it is hope that
Rises like the dawn. Just like
That, we know the pain will not destroy us, though
Hell itself is bent upon it. We are promised the wings of
Eagles when we wait on His timing and strength, so when
Life needs us to be brave, we can be the
Epitome of courage. We shall look for the
Sparks of fiery hope, and we
Shall remain… Children of the Promise.
